This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: APAC Role Overview Sentient is seeking a Community Manager – China who will be responsible for building, scaling, and nurturing our growing community of developers, data contributors, and AI enthusiasts in the Chinese market. The ideal candidate will understand both AI and Web3. As the Community Manager – China, you will build programs, initiatives, and incentives to engage the community, drive user participation, and create strong advocates for Sentient, with a focus on social media strategies tailored to the region. Key Responsibilities • Community Growth & Engagement: Lead initiatives to expand Sentient’s community in China through strategic outreach across platforms like WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and Bilibili, ensuring the community remains engaged and informed. • Voice & Culture: Help guide and shape the voice of Sentient’s Chinese community, representing the values of open-source AI. • Content & Programs: Develop educational programs, contests, and engagement strategies (e.g., live streams, Q&A sessions, virtual events) to educate the community, generate content, and grow the community organically on Chinese social media. • Data-Driven Strategy: Track community-oriented KPIs and optimize strategies based on data, using feedback loops to inform both community initiatives and Sentient’s broader business and development goals. • Bridge Between Teams: Act as a liaison between the Chinese community, development, and business teams to ensure community feedback is integrated into the product development roadmap. • Social Media Marketing: Support Sentient’s marketing efforts by being highly active online, engaging with the community through trending content, updates, and valuable insights, all while maintaining a fun and informative tone on Chinese platforms. Requirements • Deep understanding of decentralized AI technologies, and familiarity with Web3 narratives and personalities. • Proven track record of leading and scaling community initiatives in technology sectors (AI platforms, tech communities, or similar). • Experience managing online communities across WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and Bilibili. • Experience organizing and managing ambassador or community engagement programs, as well as incentivizing participation through contests, rewards, or similar initiatives. • Fluency in Mandarin and English, with capability to engage and expand Sentient’s community in China and beyond.
