The Role...

The Group FP&A Junior Analyst is key member of the Group FP&A team, responsible for supporting the financial planning, reporting and analysis requirements of Soho House & Co.

This role reports into the Group FP&A Senior Manager and will work closely with the Group FP&A Director and other cross – functional teams to ensure effective financial analysis and decision support.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting the wider finance team.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting

  • Preparing and distributing the Daily Sales Report for the Group
  • Consolidating and sharing the Weekly P&L Report for the Group, reviewing commentaries from local teams and analysing performance to help guide business decisions
  • Preparing the monthly Management Accounts, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve any follow-up queries
  • Supporting the preparation of the monthly Commercial Pack, providing commentary and insights after period close meetings with local teams
  • Providing Quarterly Analytics data

Financial Systems Management

  • Overseeing the IBM Planning Analytics tool (interim), ensuring all required business inputs are provided on a timely basis and tool is up-to-date and operates efficiently
  • Performing the required system processes for the IBM Planning Analytics tool at month-end
  • Supporting in data reconciliations for new ERP

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Coordinating the budget and forecast process, and supporting local teams with uploads into the system
  • Supporting the Group FP&A Senior Manager with scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate financial impact of various business decisions
  • Sharing final sales output with the data team for automated daily reporting

Financial Analysis

  • Collating data and analysing key trends around member spend and footfall and providing actionable insights for business optimisation
  • Supporting development of BI reporting
  • Conducting ad hoc analysis of business performance, including key initiatives and projects, to support strategic decisions

Key skills

  • Strong systems capability required
    • Advanced Excel skills and solid PowerPoint skills expected
    • Experience in handling large amounts of data required
    • Knowledge of/ experience using IBM Planning Analytics desired (or other similar planning tools)
    • Experience of using business intelligence / reporting tools desired
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate key messages in a simple, accessible and concise format
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen interest in hospitality, retail, consumer sector desired

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience from Management Consultancy or Accountancy role
  • Previous FP&A experience preferred but not essential
  • Accounting/ Financial qualification started – ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or other)
