Job Description: The Rehab Liaison Manager is responsible for managing all liaison activities for Intermountain Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) programs. The incumbent ensures consistency and sustainability of liaison activities to facilitate response to referrals, patient evaluations, payer pre-authorizations, unit marketing and other activities for Intermountain facilities and community referral sources. Manages a team of liaison professionals. The incumbent maintains an understanding of current market trends, regulation, and analyzes referral patterns to maximize the opportunity to grow the IRF programs. We’re seeking a dedicated Rehab professional to join our team in a partially remote position with required onsite travel to Intermountain Health care sites throughout Utah and Colorado. This hybrid structure offers the best of both worlds—flexibility to work from home combined with meaningful, hands-on collaboration across our care locations. Candidates should be comfortable traveling to various Intermountain Health facilities as needed to support operations, team members, and patient care initiatives. Essential Functions Manages liaison activities and schedules to ensure 7/day per week coverage Understands and can assist in liaison duties as needed Implements in person and/or remote coverage to support admissions for all IRF programs Provides system level representation for inpatient rehabilitation access with internal and external stakeholders Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements for admission to an inpatient rehabilitation program Provides interface with insurance companies, care managers and referral sources to support admission of appropriate patients to the IRF Designs and carries out marketing and outreach activities for IRF units Travel (quarterly, and in some cases more often) required to other facilities and hospitals Oversee various admission programs such as Select Health partnership, No-Delay Admissions, and any other contracting partnerships Skills Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Versatility/Flexibility Interpersonal Communication Critical Thinking Decision Making Detail Oriented Time Management Quality Improvement Adaptability Active Listening Dependability Compassion Minimum Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in Nursing, Masters’ degree in Occupational therapy or Speech Language Pathology or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy Current licensure in clinical field Preferred Qualifications Work experience in rehabilitation Experience in management of liaisons Experience in marketing inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) services and/or post-acute care Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information and documents Frequent interactions with hospital administrators, insurers, providers, colleagues, nurses, therapists and regulatory personnel, that requires employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate for frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, performing remote assessments, etc. Sitting and standing tolerance Location: Key Bank Tower Work City: Salt Lake City Work State: Utah Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
