Chevron is seeking a Maintenance Execution Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support execution excellence and contractor performance across DM&C operations. This role provides field‑focused expertise to improve maintenance productivity, execution quality, and cost performance by promoting standardized execution practices and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Execution SME works closely with site teams, contractors, Planning & Scheduling, and Procurement to ensure maintenance work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with plan.


Key Responsibilities


+ Observe and assess maintenance execution and contractor performance through regular field engagement

+ Identify execution inefficiencies and drive corrective actions through coaching and best‑practice deployment

+ Promote standardized execution methods and share lessons learned across operating sites

+ Support productivity assessments, execution strategy reviews, and improvement initiatives

+ Partner with contractors and internal stakeholders to improve execution outcomes and accountability

+ Advise site leadership on execution risks, productivity opportunities, and performance trends

+ Support resolution of execution‑related issues impacting cost, schedule, or reliability


Required Qualifications


+ Strong experience in maintenance execution within refining, manufacturing, or complex industrial environments

+ Solid understanding of craft productivity, contractor execution models, and field work practices

+ Experience translating execution data and observations into practical, actionable improvements

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with contractors, site leadership, and cross‑functional teams

+ Willingness to spend significant time in the field and travel between sites as required


Preferred Qualifications


+ Experience supporting contractor performance management or productivity improvement initiatives

+ Familiarity with planning and scheduling interfaces and execution standards

+ Strong communication and influencing skills in field and leadership settings

+ Experience working in environments with PLAs / union trades, labor relations interfaces, or large industrial construction projects.

Relocation


Relocation for this position is at the discretion of management. In general, most employees will be able to perform this role at their facilities listed above and will not be required to relocate within the US


Special Considerations :


This role is not eligible for expatriate assignment. Global Offshore Payroll applicants must be able to use current US work authorization or otherwise able to obtain work authorization within 4 months of initiation of immigration activities. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.


The anticipated salary range for this position is $158,600 – $274,800.
