Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FedEx Freight is a leading logistics company, and they are seeking an Admin Assistant to support a Manager/Sr. Manager and/or a functional department. The role involves performing various administrative functions, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and project tracking.


Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties, which may include maintaining files, assembling materials for reports and drafting correspondence
  • Schedule appointments, maintain calendar for management, and coordinate arrangements for staff meetings, business travel, seminars, etc. Maintain suspense files for management and staff
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail; take and screen phone calls
  • Interact with internal and external customers; refer inquiries to appropriate level as required
  • Maintain personnel recordkeeping as required
  • Process, coordinate and follow-up on invoices received for payment and expense reports
  • Track and monitor projects from request stage through completion
  • Provide assistance in gathering and researching data for reports and preparing presentations
  • Maintain adequate level of required office supplies
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) plus two (2) years of business related experience, which includes one year in an administrative support position
  • Good typing/data entry skills
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with good spelling, punctuation and basic grammar skills
  • PC experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software
  • Able to follow instructions and complete required training
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
