This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving.<br><br><strong>Main Responsibilities<br><br></strong>The Senior Media Specialist on the New Media Solutions team plays a critical role in shaping and scaling next-generation media offerings within the retail media network. This role blends strategic planning, hands-on campaign activation, and product enablement—developing media strategies for new and emerging products while operationalizing them for repeatable, scalable use across advertisers. Leveraging in-platform experience (e.g., TTD, DV360, Meta), the Sr. Media Specialist ensures that planning solutions are grounded in executional reality, translating client needs into actionable campaign setups, optimizations, and performance insights. In close partnership with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Sales, this role helps bring new media capabilities to market, refine workflows, and drive adoption—ensuring new solutions are both innovative and operationally viable within a dynamic retail media landscape.<br><br>This role is especially exciting because it sits at the intersection of innovation and execution—you’re not just using media products, you’re helping define how they’re built and scaled. It offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the future of retail media by testing new ideas, shaping go-to-market strategy, and seeing your work translate quickly into real campaign impact for top advertisers.<br><br>The position is in office 4 days per week and will be based in add locations (Pleasanton CA, Fullerton CA, Boise ID, Itasca IL, NYC)<br><br><ul><li>Lead the development of media planning tools and products that empower advertisers to build and activate smarter, performance-driven campaigns across onsite, offsite, and in-store channels.</li><li>Translate advertisers and stakeholder needs into scalable product solutions that streamline planning, targeting, forecasting, and in-platform execution workflows.</li><li>Leverage hands-on keyboard experience within key platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta) to inform planning tools, validate strategy, and optimize performance.</li><li>Champion innovation by integrating new media products and capabilities into planning recommendations, ensuring alignment between planning strategy and real-world platform execution.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Sales to bring new planning features and activation-enabled solutions to market.</li><li>Represent planning and activation priorities in cross-functional forums; proactively unblock challenges with clear, solution-oriented communication.</li><li>Identify gaps in current planning and activation workflows; develop solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and campaign performance.</li><li>Stay ahead of industry trends, shopper behavior, and platform capabilities to continuously evolve both planning strategy and activation approach.</li><li>Build and manage third-party partnerships that enhance planning and activation capabilities, including audience data, inventory forecasting, and measurement solutions.</li><li>Advocate for a test-and-learn mindset by executing and optimizing live campaigns, piloting new planning products, and iterating based on performance insights. <br><br></li></ul><strong>We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following<br><br></strong><ul><li>5 plus years in media planning or product strategy, ideally within retail media, digital advertising, or eCommerce.</li><li>Proven track record of developing media planning tools or products that support omnichannel campaigns (onsite, offsite, in-store).</li><li>Direct hands-on (in-platform) experience executing and optimizing campaigns within major media buying platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta, Pinterest), with a clear understanding of how planning decisions translate into activation and performance.</li><li>Strong understanding of retail media networks, shopper behavior, and closed-loop measurement.</li><li>Fluent in all aspects of media planning, including media math, inventory forecasting & availability & digital formats, with a proven history of developing media ecosystems deliver on marketing objectives </li><li>Ability to translate business needs into scalable product features and planning workflows.</li><li>Comfort with data analysis and performance metrics, working closely with analytics and engineering teams.</li><li>Experience managing third-party partnerships for audience data, inventory forecasting, or measurement.</li><li>Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Sales.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to represent planning priorities and unblock challenges.</li><li>Experience leading cross-functional meetings and driving alignment across teams.</li><li>Ability to own and evolve a product roadmap, from concept to launch.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to identify workflow gaps and implement process improvements.</li><li>Passion for innovation and experimentation, with a test-and-learn mindset.</li><li>Up-to-date on industry trends, media innovation, and emerging technologies. <br><br></li></ul><strong>We Also Provide a Variety Of Benefits Including<br><br></strong><ul><li>Competitive wages paid weekly</li><li>Access to up to 50% of your earned wages before payday, via our partnership with Stream</li><li>Associate discounts</li><li>Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)</li><li>Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
