THE VENUE 

Legends Hospitality is proud to Partner with Circle Line Cruises, New York’s oldest provider of chartered sightseeing cruises, in delivering a premium hospitality experience to guests. In addition to daily cruises on six sailing vessels throughout the city, Circle Line hosts various special events cruises including a New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July celebration in addition to charters for private parties and events. 

 

THE ROLE  

 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and executing warehouse operations and procedures in order to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency so that all product, supply and equipment needs are met throughout the venue. Under the direction of the managers, this individual will be supporting the planning and preparation process for events assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to warehouse staff. A top priority will be to ensure that the highest levels of safety, organization and sanitation are maintained throughout all warehousing and storage areas 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assist in supervising and assigning personnel while enforcing standards for service, sanitation, product, and food quality 

  • Ensure the control procedures are being used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintaining this supply system 

  • Coordinate all warehousing activities with management team 

  • Receive store and distribute supplies and equipment in warehousing operations 

  • Use storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations 

  • Maintain and control high volume food and beverage inventory while anticipating guests needs  

  • Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards, and inventory 

  • Assist supervisors in other related tasks and responsibilities as necessary  

  • Maintain and control high-volume food, beverage, and merchandise inventory 

  • Conduct a physical audit of inventory and product   

  • Complete other duties as assigned by managers 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some colleges preferred. 

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age 

  • Strong attention to detail and extremely organized with elevated time management and prioritizing skills 

  • Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service 

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting 

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and staff 

  • Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions 

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs/ramps/gangways 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays 

  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods 

  • Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism, positive outlook, and attention to detail 

  • Ability to work on boats for extended periods of time 

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job-specific safety training 

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
